The N.C. Basketball Coaches Association has released its all-district teams for the 2025-2026 season.
All-district teams are voted on by coaches who are members of the NCBCA. Players from N.C. High School Athletic Association member schools are eligible for selection, regardless of class.
Seven boys and eight girls from Guilford County were selected to the all-district team this year for District 7.
Among the selections were Jyi Dawkins (Ben L. Smith) and Leena McField (Northern Guilford), who were named the boys & girls basketball District 7 Players of the Year.
Dawkins is Guilford County’s all-time leading scorer who averaged 32.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 4.2 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game this season.
McField averaged 25.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 4 steals per game for Northern Guilford.
T.W. Andrews girls basketball coach John Shearin was also named the District 7 Coach of the Year. Shearin helped Andrews to a 21-5 overall record, including a 12-0 mark in the PAC Seven Conference. Earning the overall No. 1 seed in the 4A playoffs, the team advanced to the fourth round.
