Dudley’s Le’Ezra Brown has won the 2025 NCHSAA Athlete of the Year.
Brown received the Pat Best Memorial Trophy, in its 40th year, at a ceremony at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex on Wednesday, January 18.
Brown has won back-to-back Most Outstanding Performer awards at the outdoor track & field state championships this spring. He won the 100-meter dash and 110-meter hurdles and breaking his own record in the hurdles. During the indoor track season, Brown broke his own state meet record in the 55-meter hurdles.
In the relay races, Brown was part of the 4×100-meter relay team that won a gold medal for Dudley.
Brown has also played football for the Panthers. This past season, he recorded 44 tackles and one interception as a safety.
